It is a means adopted by society to understand and cope with mental illness or misfortune.<\/p>\n Being \u2018possessed by a spirit\u2019 results in certain physiological\u00a0 and emotional changes. This results in a person \u2018feeling better\u2019.<\/p>\n Places of religious pilgrimage, where illnesses are cured, are a source of support for society.\u00a0 People with mental troubles or pain come here out of faith.<\/p>\n Persons suffering from mental illness can visit such places where illnesses are cured by faith, without shame and express their feelings.<\/p>\n
